The purpose of working on target areas is to ensure interaction between theoretical knowledge, practical experience and didactic reflection.
The teacher and the pupil share a teaching situation as their point of departure, where the core tasks are planning, adapting, carrying out and evaluating the teaching environment and the pupil’s progress. The emphasis is on the student’s ability to analyze his or her own experiences and to develop training together with pupils, colleagues and others. Through working on target areas the students should be able to:
account for terms and models associated with the teacher’s planning, carrying out and evaluating of learning processes, and discuss how pupils, through participating in such work, can develop responsibility and insight into their own learning process
account for and evaluate their role as a model, teacher, adviser and partner
analyze and assess situations which are important to adapted training and equal opportunities between the genders
reflect on their own learning and development and assess their own teaching strategies
analyze and reflect on social relations and group processes
account for musical and creative development in children, youths and adults
identify common learning difficulties and behavioural problems and implement appropriate action
